Our community agreed that Murieston Initiative SCIO should aim to take a short-term lease of Murieston Village Hall with a view to future community asset transfer, but we cannot find a way to make it financially viable. We don’t think the Council’s plans stack up financially either, and fear it may result in closure of our hall.
Come to a meeting on Monday 22nd September at 7pm to discuss the situation the hall is in and our options for the future. Local councillors and politicians have been invited.
The AGM of Murieston Initiative SCIO the charity which runs the hall, will take place immediately after the public discussion. The charity is looking for trustees to help, particularly if you have business, finance or legal experience. All residents of Murieston welcome.
